Tags , tags and tags!

I've made gorgeous looking icons for tags and almost all albums are properly tagged.

The search engine works great to filter albums on tags and I've added all the tags in a custom html module too. I'm using search strings like this index.php?searchword=&genre_id=&tag_id=34&option=com_muscol&search=albums&view=search&Itemid=3

But I'm missing the option to tag artists as well?

And tags should be clickable on album pages so you can filter on tags as well. This should not be too difficult since it's already working in the search engine.

Could you please add this function to MC? :P

    Also check out how Last.fm handles tags, very innovative idea that would work very well in MC too

    I would love to see something like this. I have most of my collection setup similar to how last.fm does where I put a lot of focus on the artist and how they are tagged.

    yes, yes and yes.

    as usual, @ravenscar you say things that are already on our "to do" list ;)

    the tag will be clickabe on album view, on future version.

    however, tags are not supported on artists. I dont know if we'll add this. maybe :)

    PS: yes, LAST.fm is awesome. the tag system is great.

    Yeah, the tag page on last.fm would work extremely well for genres. We all love Last.fm but MC is something special ;)

    While working with MC I get all kinds of ideas, so maybe you could share some of your work in progress, or future features somewhere?

    Today I was thinking about an extra tab for an interview, which could be a simple text field.

    For me the Artists should be the main focus of the website. MC has done a great job on the album and song area, but has not put as much effort in the artist area. I find this to be one of the biggest downfalls of this great product. It would be so much better if MC had better artist support. Items such as Artist Tags, a better designed Artist page (similar to the album page where one can have a more uniformed and detailed layout), improved Artist search feature, etc.

    I'm missing those things too, stuff like artist photos (1 is not enough), members (with instruments) and interviews would make MC unbeatable :)

    Tags on artist pages would improve artist search.
