I apologize if this is posted in the wrong area, I guess in some respect this is a suggestion as someone may require this very same function.
I am building a custom community using the Music Collection Extension. I am running JomSocial 2.2 and was wondering if there is anyway I can perform the following customization to the artists information on the Music Collection Extension.
Required Change:
When a music artist (Member Type) sets up a new artist/album, I want their name to automatically show up instead of having to insert a custom artist name or select a pre-defined artist it will automatically generate the users name and link that username to their profile when people view the artists page. (if that makes any sense)
Basically it will work the same way as the Joomla Contact Form, when you are a guest the Username field is blank but when you login the username field automatically generates the users username.

0Is there a way to at least set it up so that this Extension works the way it normally does but have a spot where the JomSocial Username will display (Stating that $jsusername) posted that album/song? I just need there to be more of a connection between the user and the music that gets posted by that user. Right now having a one way connection from a profile to the artist/music isn't going to cut it unfortunately
So basically the user still has to insert a custom Artist/Album Name but gets credited for publishing it with a link back to their JomSocial Profile. I have been having issues pulling JomSocial user information outside of the JomSocial pages so any help you can provide would be appreciated.
Can you please send a quote via PM for my original request. Hopefully my request in this thread can be easily applied through a string of code. If I can get this to work and lift this project off the ground, I will surely consider getting this extension customized further using your services.
Thanks in advance, I really hope you can assist me with this. Even if you provide me the JomSocial string that I can use and what file I would have to apply it to, I can do the edit myself.

0Yeah, its fun to put stuff in urbandictionary. We have done that with a few of our names as well for the hell of it. The only down side about putting your own entry with your name in it, is that then someone can come along and edit the entry and put something totally opposite.
I wouldn't ever use it as a factual reference site, nor would I date look stuff up on it at work, as some of it is definitely not safe for work (nsfw), but its a great place to look up some really random lingo.
I like that.
