I looked at a lot of posts concerning Image gallery for MC.
A lot of custom tweaks with third party extensions...
Is there a official supported solution for artist/album to have multiple images or image gallery ?
(I did not see this in demo, so I suppose that is not possible with your product ?)
Is there any solution at least similar to discogs (front cover, back cover, inlay for albums), and more than 1 photo for artist ?

does standard plugins work in artist/album/song descriptions, like in standard joomla articles

I would try
sigplus (http://extensions.joomla.org/extension/sigplus)
or
simple image gallery (http://extensions.joomla.org/extension/simple-image-gallery) -
