Ill be honest I dont know much about Joomla nor the music collector. I purchased it but I dont know how to get the content on the music page. If someone *germi* wink - would be willing to help with this it would be oh so appreciated. I will give you admin rights to set it up. This site isnt launched and nothings there to mess up yet so if you could help setup the basics it would be again highly appreciated and i would be forever indebted to the support you guys offer here on this forum.

    hello,

    I can help you but I wont access your site...! :)

    to start populating MC is very easy. go to the component, add your artists and then add your albums, and songs inside album

    the BEST way to start is to create a MENU ITEM on your main menu pointing to Music Collection -> Artists -> Detailed

    from there, you'll start browwing your music collection from the frontend

    oh ok thanks.

    why wouldn't you want to access the Joomla? I swear there's nothing you could mess up.

    Ok what would you suggest if i wanted it on a music page. would i setup up category and then the section. and then create the menu item?

    well I dont want to access because this would be a lot of time of work and right now we're very busy! ;)

    you DONT NEED to create sections or categories. just create the menu item.

    then add something to your collection, some album.

    you'll see how easy is to navigate on the frontend.

    I would add the artist first? it has sample artist. should i just use those until i get it setup.

    on the backend, go to Menus -> main menu, and click NEW...

    Ok i created five artist. I now need to upload songs to the server and put them into an album? How do i do this correctly. I'm guessing i use my FTP to upload the songs to the albums folder under a sub folder the album names. Is this correct? :dry:
