Germi, if you check jomsocial forum, there many peoples looking for same music solutions for theirs communities.
Music collection is already have this feature, It remains only to integrate it with jomcocial... I think, it will be not a big problem

What does anyone think about just dropping the plylist files into their com_community folder? I am not great with this stuff but it would make sense as long as the files were seperated in the new folder correctly?

MC have two type of playlist - current (on the go) and saved playlists.
I think, current playlist is more actual and dinamic, this playlist must be in user profile.
Under current playlist we have list of saved playlists.

If current playlist is empty, in user profile will be show last saved or last updated playlist

The viewers of the site would have as many as possible but the owner of the page would upload songs to one playlist for everyone else to listen to. If you could do this i would be so happy ive been looking for this and its honestly the last thing i need to launch my site i would gladly pay for it.

we will develop this, but not yet: we have more important things on the list to do first...

(basically, TODAY was released Joomla 1.6 RC1 so our first headache is to make Music Colleciton 100% compatible with joomla 1.6. we are at about 90% now...) after that, and solving some little issues, we will focus our efforts on new plugins and modules.
