When you add song to playlist then it displays

example: 'biz network' page
select 'Tiesto in concert' album from album list on right side
add 'feel it in your bones' song to playlist

I wish to display player with control even before adding songs like you have in your example

what you mean? the player controls? these are always on the album page... and on the module player if enabled...!

You are right. Jw player module The module should now show at least one song in the playlist, and instead if you activate the module on JomSocial home page or any other page the form appears completely black. A member of the community who do not know you have to manually add the songs to the playlist to view it as a function thinks it is a programming error. I also noticed that your plugin jw player is in conflict with the YOOtheme WidgetKit.

I see what you mean. well, what you could so is to load a predefined "default" playlist if there's no playlist loaded, so it does not look empty.

WidgetKit does some strange thing with th players and it applies its own style... it's a bit anoying because it messes up everything we do externaly...!

Correction, Widgetkit component is in conflict with pretty much anything else that uses it's own video or audio player :laugh:

I use yoothemes for a lot of my sites as well. I really love their themes in general. A few releases back yoothemes enabled their media player to override everything and be the default player which I REALLY dislike! Luckily they have added the ability to disable this "feature". It has moved around a bit, but I think the latest version it is under the widgetkit component, then look under Media Player and disable it in there.

I would assume this player would be a decent idea if one was using a fairly vanilla version of joomla. With so many great modules out there, this player overwriting everything else, becomes quite bothersome. Especially since it likes to add a black box using the css that a lot of times shows up on top of and blocks any other players.
