MP3 Won't upload Issue

I am trying to upload music using joomla 3 but I keep getting the following error. Screnshot is attached.


The file 01 - Greeting.mp3 was not uploaded because is not an allowed filetype.

    that's strange.. the file extension is .mp3?

    The file is .mp3 and I have tried several songs with the .mp3 extension but they don't upload.
