Hey Germi,
I know you must get so tired when you see another post about the player in pop-up mode! I hate to add to that, but I tried and just could not figure this one out on my own...
The JW Player module in the basic, "play inside the browser mode", works fine. You can see the list, it plays the music, displays the images, etc. Great! I even have a reminder that displays to remind users they have to select a playlist before it will show in the module.
However, when I click on the link "Show Player in Popup" the popup window displays but shows a blank screen without error messages. When I look at it via Firebug, I see this error message: "failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error)
http://www.degarrin.net/coven/designated-resources/media-archive/audio-archive?task=popup_jwplayer&width=480&height=570&playlist=none&playlistsize=235"
The main page for the music collection on my site is indeed http://www.degarrin.net/coven/designated-resources/media-archive/audio-archive, so that part of the URL seems correct. The rest looks consistent with what I would expect the path to be, but I'd have to defer to you on that.
So my first thoughts were htaccess and/or extension conflict, then possibly a JavaScript issue? The usual, right
Here's what else I did/checked:
Made sure I had the latest version of the module and plugin
Verified module settings
Verified plugin settings
Verified permissions
Checked the htaccess, but didn't see anything that stood out as wrong. Tried allowing various Music Collection files, but without being able to see a specific file that's causing the problem, it's like a needle in a haystack. I also tried allowing access to p.jwpcdn.com, as it looks like the jw player might have been trying to pull files from that outside source, but to no effect.
Disabled AdminTools, without effect. This won't affect the htaccess file, but sometimes AdminTools can cause problems, and disabling it would let me know if it's interfering.
Disabled Rokbox (from RocketTheme) as I know it can cause issues on occasion, but this didn't have an effect.
Here are my specs:
Joomla 3.3.6
PHP 5.5.18
jQuery v1.11.1
Music Collection 2.4.6
JW Player Plugin 2.4.1
JW Player Module 2.4.2
If you need site access, let me know and I can send it to you.
Thanks!
Eric
