Yep now 3.0.8 is arrived here in Holland to..
So it took some time with the cache

I tried to update to version 3.0.8 but got an error: "invalid extension update". Then I downloaded the package from the site and installed it, looks ok but still it says version 3.0.7 is installed.
In the manifest.xml it still says version 3.0.7. This seems incorrect.

with my site it took more than 24 hours before it said 3.0.8.

Correct, the installation went wrong when the update is done within Joomla (extension update), were it shows that there is a new version. Pressing update results in: "invalid extension update".
Then I downloaded from the Joomlathat site the 3.0.8 version and that package contains a file manifest.xml with version 3.0.7 mentioned in it.

I extracted my installation file from MC in the manifest mine says 3.0.8.

I know what went wrong: My subscription ended
I just went to my downloads and downloaded 3.0.8 . The file downloaded was named com_muscol_3.0.8_pro_3.x.zip, but the content is 3.0.7. That is misleading, but at least I know now why it failed.
