Problem after install

0
Hi,
I purchased this component on the strength of the demo. Installed it and set up the directory structure as described. It is running on a local wamp install as I want to organise everything locally.
When I go to create a new artist I get this message.

Trying to get property of non-object in C:\wamp\www\administrator\components\com_muscol\models\artist.php on line 41

I uninstalled and re-installed but still the same.
Also , I am currently using RSForm Pro on my site , do I still need to install the bundled RSForm plugin ?

Thanks & Regards,

Paul

    Hello Paul

I can't check it in this very moment. I'll check it this afternoon and try to find out what you get this problem.

I don't think it has anything to do with RSForm. don't worry, we'll solve it ;)

    hey Paul.

you get this error after pressing "new" button to create an artist, or when you "save" the artist?

also, have you any problem when you try to create an album/format/genre ?

also, try to access "Sample artist" (this is created automaticly on MC installation). do you get any error?

also tell me what version of Joomla are you running, what version of PHP you have and what version MySQL

    regards,
    Germi

    Hey Germi,
    Thanks for the reply.
    I am using
    PHP 5.2.8
    Joomla 1.5.9

I can see the Sample Artist and can edit and save , but when I try to make any new ones I get the following:
Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$artist_name in C:\wamp\www\administrator\components\com_muscol\views\artist\tmpl\form.php on line 16
for each one of the components.
I am also going to try it on my staging server , just doing local development would be much better.

    Cheers,

    Paul

    Hi,
This is working on my staging server , don't know what the problem is locally on wamp.
Should be fine to develop on this instead tho not as convenient.
    Thanks for the help

    Paul

I have been looking the code that gives you that error, and I really can find anything "wrong". really dont know what do you get this error. But it really looks like is some server configuration issue. Probably you have your local wamp server eith some settings that make this page work bad. probably something about how PHP handles objects ans such.

I dont know that configuration parameter this can be. I'll try to find out. if I discover something, I'll let you know... but this is definitely an issue of your local sever :)

at least you can work on your staging server.. :)
