Hopefully I get an answer..? so lets try this...
If I am correct MusCol does NOT work with php 8.0 / 8.1 (yet). At least I am getting errors and a non working test site.
The last update as mentioned in the Joomla extensions page (Sep 06 2021) Does that one include php 8 versions? or just some minor updates as it still has version 3.0.7 as mine has..
I am more than willing to renew again, but don't know the status any more for JoomlaThat??
Hopefully I don't need to go and find me an other solution, because my site heavily depends on MusCol
Anyway have a nice weekend and stay healthy ..

Hello,
There will be a new release for J4, yes, although the release date is not set yet. Will most likely be early 2022.
Music Collection does not fully work with PHP8 at the moment, but that's only for a few functions. Will try to release a patch for PHP8 before we release the J4 version.

My site also depends on MusCol, it is the center of our platform. I made a lot of workarrounds over the years.
But now I am fed up on waiting for a change and a new version.
I was hoping on a new version since Joomla 4 arrived, muscol is way to buggy and to old now.
Please let us know if there is going to be a new release, no is a answer to.... -

That would be cool, but again I can wait a bit php 7.4 is still getting updates until Nov. 2022 if I am correct
