so weird.. none of my users reported me this problem, probably is some bad configuration of your local server.

I bet it has something to do with you "max_execution_time" variable of you PHP configuration. probably it is set to 30 seconds, and MC takes more than 30 seconds to install.. so check this php variable, increase it and try it again

(do you know how to modify this variable or how to see the value it has right now?)
