Very nice component. We are looking to purchase this component, but we have a quick question.
Can we stream from another server? The reason is most of our mp3 files are hosted on another server.
If someon please response to this.

How does one do the setup in order to accomplish hosting and uploading the music on another server. Sorry newbie alert.

well, uploading music to another server has nothing to do with Music Collection. you have to do it by FTP directly to the other server

so, once you have the song files on the other server, you tell MC the filename of each song.

Maybe change directory for the songs to localurl?!

ex:
Change folder "songs" to "http://example.com/songs/"
So actually url: http://example.com/songs/song_name.mp3
instead http://localhost/mc/songs/song_name.mp3

But I can't make it =.=

Anybody can help?!

I dont know if I understand your question. what's the server where you have the songs? and the folder inside this server?

path to songs is a combination of two parameters:

SONGS SERVER in the plugin configuration (leave empty to point to the same server where MC is)

and SONGS FOLDER in MC component parameter configuration

Because I must use multiple servers to contain mp3 file, but I think building multi server songs so difficult, should I must insert hotlink file to my song.

you disable downloading from MC parameters

you CANT do what you say: only one server can be used for songs. if the server is not the same server of Joomla installation, then you write the server in the Keithplayer configuration, but NOT in the song form!!!

so:

songs server: h t t p: //www.comdaika.com

in the MC parameter: the main folder for songs, for instance

/mp3

and in the song form you put the path to the file WITHOUT the server!!!:

DreamTheater/A_Change_of_Seasons_1995/01_a_change_of_seasons.mp3

the combination fo this three thinga will give you:

h t t p: //www.comdaika.com/mp3/DreamTheater/A_Change_of_Seasons_1995/01_a_change_of_seasons.mp3

as the path to the song

Auto load is an option of the player.

I think that sometimes it loads the song even if you choose NOT to. sorry, this is a small (small!) bug of the player, I can't do anything about it right now, because I'm not the developer of the player

Can use another flashplayer?!

I using Dewplayer but sometimes when I press Play it don't load, must press F5 (fresh) again to load song width IE7.

And Keithplayer can't disable auto load song.

do not use dewplayer, it sometimes dont work.

thats why I created Keithplayer

besides that small detail of auto load, Keithplayer works VERY well, so I suggest you to mantain it

I will work to fix that autoload small issue, but believe me, keithplayer is a good player (and this small bug is not dramatic at all... )
