Can't upload songs

Hello,

I have several issues which I have tried to get help on, but get no reply. I have looked at all relevant forum posts for several weeks now, checked my permissions and have reinstalled numerous times.

Key issue: I upload songs at Albums/Songs/Edit/File but they do not show up in the Songs folder.

I have also FTP'd songs to the Songs folder and they appear there, but they will not function in the player.

In posts there is common reference to "play list" but I don't see that term used anywhere in the menu or interface.

I need to understand how to solve these issues in simple step-by-step language.

    hello

    two things here

    1) I guess there are two thing that may be causing the impossibility of uploading songs: one is that the folder has not the correct permissions, or the owner/group of the folder cannot write in it. the other possibility is that you are trying to upload files larger than the maximum size permited by your PHP installation. to discart this last possibility, try to upload a small file (smaller thatn 512 kb) and see if it uploads OK or not.

    2) I need to know the error that the player is showing. all errors can be solved, usually is some bad paramter configuration. please post a link to your site here and I'll check it

    PS: did you write on the forum and didnt get any answer?? :S :S that's weird, because I, personally, answer each and every message that is post on the forum.... where did you ask for help?

    Hi,

    THis is the error I keep getting with my music player:

    Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home/content/p/r/o/propaganda/html/components/com_muscol/models/song.php on line 58


    ((propaganda is my domain user name))

    What would this mean, and how can it be fixed?
