is the option to "scan ID3 tags" enabled on music collection configuration?

No the Use ID3 tag reading if possible is set to no. I pretty much left all the settings as default from the installation.

Yes, that fixed the error uploading song issue. Now I have the following issues left:
1. I have 5 artists entered. When I try to upload a new song, I do not get the artist's name in the list. On the upload I tried, I entered song name "test thurs" and no artist (since none were listed) and now the artists list contains "test thurs" as the artist and still does not list any of my entered artists. In my tests the last few days, occasionally the artist's names would populate, but sporadically.
2. When I click on an artist (from main page or module) I get the following error: This site can’t be reached students’s server DNS address could not be found. Search Google for students music collection ella hall ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED
3. On the main page, when I have the alphabet enabled, I click in the search field, I never get a list of songs, albums or artists. I just get a spinning wheel. When I turn off the alphabet, the wheel just spins from initial load.

Because of the dns issues, I am going to scrap the installation and start from scratch again.

Ok, I have reinstalled and am still having the dns issues. It does seem that the artist's name is populating now, so #1 in my above list is fixed for now. But the following errors still exist.
1. When I click on an artist (from main page or module) I get the following error: "This site can’t be reached music-collection’s server DNS address could not be found. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN". When I manually type in the website name in front of the "music collection" in the browser bar: "http://music-collection/J/3-joshua-vu" it does resolve the page. Please give me a fix for this.
2. Now the play button does not display at the song level. I have the jw player enabled with a valid api key. Please give me a fix for this. I was working previously, but now does not display.

An additional item:
3. In the module artists, the number of artists per row does not work. I have 3 featured artists (identified by id) and tried it set as 2, 3, or 4 per row, and in each instance, it just shows 1 artist per row.

Ok, I have resolved the dns issue. I am left with the following errors:
2. Play button not showing (kind of critical!?)
3. # of artists per row not working.

I recreated my api key and that solved the play button issues. I also changed the template which seemed to fix some of the other issues.
