1. yes (well, they don't "record" the songs, they simply upload them!)
2. if you create these options as Genres, then yes, no problem.

admins can rate ALBUMS (not songs) in the backend. in any case they can rate songs in the frontend, and you can create a module to show top rated songs. however this is "all time", not week by week.

what you can do is to use our other extension CONTENT STATISTICS to track the ratings. this WILL allow you make top songs lists based on rankings weekly.

We want only admin to decide which songs are best considering various factors and based on that we would like to show the something like top rated songs.

IF we let everyone rate, a smart user can have his friends rate it high and that would put us in a tricky situation of picking a bad song as a top rated one???

ok, I understand. In this case you would require that we build the song rating function only for admins in the backend for you. That's something we can do with our Custom Coding Service.

For us the Billboard TOP 10 songs would be based on the songs not album based rating...
