Hi,
I have just purchased Music Collection in the hope that what I need is achievable.
My site is not a music site, but a collection of audio files. There will only ever be 1 artist to 1 audio file - no albums (i.e. a collection of audios from the same artist).
I want to display my audio files in a very simple way, with a title (artist name) an image of the artist, the ability to click and play the audio (as you can in your demo) and finally a caption/introduction below with social share buttons. I will still have Genre etc.
I want to be able to display them on a page so the new ones automatically appear when added.
In my old system (just a gallery component with my audio files being pulled from EasyBlog articles) I used to also display the locations of my artists on an interactive map so when users clicked on the map icon it opened an info box that included a link back to the audio file. Do you know of any 3rd party extensions that would work with Music Collection to plot the locations on a map - seeing as we collect location data when adding records?
Finally, is there any kind of slide show or carousel that works with your component i.e. to display the latest additions/uploads?
I realise I should have asked these questions before purchasing but when I read about your new release it looked like it could do what I needed, and now I am in the process of setting it up, it doesn't look like it may be possible.
Kind regards
Mel

hello!
1- we don't have a map in Music Collection.. this would require custom coding work in any case.
2- yes, we have the "albums" module that you can use (even if you use songs only) with the "carousel" mode...
3- there's no problem in using only 1 song per album.. the result will be pretty much the same. You can have the search page to display only this (the songs), like a unique page for all your songs...

0Hi,
I realised I hadn't selected card layout in the module, which now gives me a different look but the same issue in that it isn't displaying the correct image and the play button doesn't work. When I click on the image it takes me to an error page and shows resolving host in thebottom of my browser window. The error is as follows:
This site can’t be reached
our-library2’s server DNS address could not be found
our-library2 is the name of the menu link.
