Scout Account for Cubs scouts

I need a way for a parent who has logged into Joomla to be able to view a balance on their son's Scout account. They would not be able to edit just view. They should be able to view only their son no more.

Is this possible with a few tweeks with Expense manager?

    and how you distinguish parent from song? I mean, in Expense Manager there is only one entry list, all entries are in the same place.

    I'm sure it can be done with a few tweaks but first I need to know exactly what you need!

    Well, I need the parents to be able to login to the site. Have a special page that shows up under the "User Menu" in Joomla. Then in that area have a total value of what they have in their scout account.

    So let me talk a little bit about scout accounts.

    We have kids that raise funds for big events they want to do for the year. Currently we are planning a trip to the USS Yorktown. So they sell popcorn or do other fundraisers to raise money. That money shows up in their scout account. Right now we are using a website called scoutmanage.com. On scoutmanage we post the total each kid has in their scout account. Only the parent can see their kids money. Other parents can't see the other kids money. We would like to consolidate all the websites we need to use to one. My demo site that I would like to go to is 108scouts.org/joomla/ Please check it out and give me some direction or help on this. Thanks for your time.

    aha! thanks for the explanation, now I get a pretty accurate idea, I think. very interesting indeed!

    ok, if I understand correctly, you can achieve this but you need a little bit of custom coding. basically, if the kid is entering their own "entries" (like.. 10 september: raised $12 in Popcorn), he will be of course able to see his entries. so my first suggestion would be: couldn't parent and child use the same account to log in?

    in any case, the main thing you need is filtering results by account. I mean, by "creator". so you can only see yours, and another kid (or parent) can only see his. right? this needs to be added for sure because it's not right there out of the box.

    am I understanding it right?
