Can you create quotes?

Hi, I'd like to know if the Invoice Manager lets you create quotes (with a number) for our clients, and once approved convert them to invoices.

Thanks.

    Hello,

well, a quote is pretty much the same as an invoice, actually. what you could do is to create a separate template for quotes (pretty similar to invoice template, but saying "quote" instead of "invoices", not showing payments, and things like that)

    would that work for you?

That might work, but I have different numbers for quotes (say 396q) and invoices (238i), because I generate more quotes. Would it be possible to keep them separated?

Also, is there an online demo? I've looked around and couldn't find one.

    Thanks for the quick answer!

well, you can have differnt numbers, that's no problem, but no, they would not be separated..
to show them separately, then some custom coding work would be necessary. the approach I suggested was "all in one place" if you know what I mean.

no, sorry, we don't currently have an online demo I'm afraid...

    Ok, last couple of questions:
    [ul]
[li]would it be possible to hide the TAX number on quotes?[/li]
[li]Once a quote is approved, can you "convert" (duplicate or whatever) it and generate an invoice?[/li]

    hello

    1) yes, of course. actually the TAX is something you can define (as many as you want). so, all you have to do is.. not create any ;)

    2) well, no, since there's no differentiation between both, the "convert" action would be you just changing it's template. I mean, that would be if you went for the first approach I suggested (doesn't require custom work).
if, on the other hand, we do some custom work to really separate the 2 things, then of course we can implement this feature (convert, or whatever)
