this looks like maybe initially you used the HTML editor and that messed up things, and then even if you edit with plain text, the code was already messed up.

would it help to go back to the original "default" template and start from there?

the only thing you need to do is to reinstall the software (no need to uninstall first. and you won't loose any data either, so don't worry).

this way, the default template will be created again and you can work from there

I have reinstalled the extension and created a new template - but I get exactly the same problem! there is no option for a default or standard template. It seems that no matter how much I alter the spacing it makes no difference and the items run together. It means at the moment we are unable to send out any invoices.

this is really strange. are you sure you're editing the new template that is created, and that you're using the non-HTML mode?

Yes I created a new template called DAC New Blank and have changed the first invoice 2013-23 to that template with the same results
