first of all you need to decide what you want to display. for example, let's say you want to display a graphic for "user registrations" over time.
what you need to do is to create a module "Evolution in time", and on the "component" select com_community, then you select "user registrations" on "content criteria". then you can configure other minor things (like graphic colors, type of graphic or size) and your first module will be done.

I have tried to follow your suggestion steps but I still got the error as the attached image.

Let me explain the step to reproduce:

Steps
1. I select the the Module Type "Content Statistics (Evolution in time)"

2. The page redirect to Create Module Wizard, The warning message still occur.

2.1 To confirm that I changed the "Error Reporting" setting to Simple

3. Fill in the Details data

5. Fill in the Menu Assignment data and click save&cloes button.

6. I open my JomSocial site and foud this error.

thanks for the information.
can you check the on your PHP server you have the PHP variable "short_open_tag" set to ON ?
this could be causing the issue.

also, on the point 4 "fill options", please don't use the option "specific" (on the third dropdown), just select "ALL".

also, can you try the error reporting to "none"?

I change the PHP variable "short_open_tag" set to ON (default is off)
