Every page load logs 2 entries: the specific page and the home page

I'm using Content Statistics 1.7.0 in Joomla 3.3.6 and every time it logs that I visited an article (other than the home page) it also logs that I visited the home page as well. So I get two entries for every page view: the actual page and the home page. Can you please fix this for me ASAP?

    it's not exactly that.. it says you are viewing the CATEGORY called "home". this is very weird, if it's logging it, it means that it is actually happening. what I mean is: is there any script or something in your site that may be calling that category page every time you see an article page?
