Per user calendar

Morning guys

I have a quick question. With the calendar planner can a user create their own calendar which is private or is the calendar public with private appointments hidden?

Thanks

Mark

How does this work? Do they create their own category and set a special permission?

Yes. they can create calendars (cateogories) and set the access to Private. also the same for events.

    Hi Germi,
Is it possible to have the component pre-set so a user would automatically have a private user calendar when they register. With my site, I would like to offer a tasks & appointments calendaring tools to each individual user. I would not want them to be able to create a public calendar.
    thanks for your assistance,

well in that case the "public" option should be removed, but that's very easy to do, I can indicate you how. This way the only option will be "private" events.

well that would have to be at least taken out from the event form.. but there's more to it, if you want to completely get ride of it there are several files that would need to be modified...

not really "easy"... but well, at least the first approach you can take (the simplest one) is to HIDE the public/private select in all views, using simply CSS.

    do you know CSS?
