When an affiliate account is created it has a user Id for example

When that link is clicked it will take the user id and go to that page. What happens if the visit who clicked the link clicks other pages, then they buy a product. Is the user id 2 tracked the entire way to checkout.

So we know user 2 came from referral Id Facebook for example etc. So is the if passed through all pages?
