Issues with component

0
This is actually the second time I've written here to get "support", but even the developer does not seem to want to reply to my issue. In case you would like to look, my original post is here : https://www.joomlathat.com/support/affiliate-tracker/osmembership-renewals-working-but-new-subscriptions-show-user-0 .

Being that I had not received a response, I completely uninstalled AT and deleted all of it's tables so that I could start fresh.

I followed EVERY SINGLE INSTRUCTION the developer had given with regard to setup and install. To potentially eliminate any conflicts between plugins, I ONLY installed the "users - Affiliate Tracker" plugin...this should create a conversion each time a new Joomla user is created.

I've tested this to no end. Honestly, I've spent A LOT (a lot lot lot) of time testing and trying to figure out what is wrong with this component.

Basically, Affiliate Tracker has no problems detecting the cookie. The logs are showing BEFORE and AFTER the user has registered, and attributes the cookie to the original affiliate properly. BUT - no conversion is being recorded. Period. So, clearly there is an issue there. This might easily be explained by the fact that Membership Pro (OSMembership) is used for controlling membership subscriptions on my website. So, I tested it with a PayPal payment, without a PayPal payment (but manual backend approval), and Check (manual backend approval). No conversions. So, even the simplest implementation (attribute a conversion when someone who has the cookie stored creates a new account) is not working.

Further, I installed the Membership Pro (OSMembership) plugin and disabled the user plugin. Here's what happens...

1. After filling out the subscription form and hitting "submit" (but before payment has been made OR account created), a conversion is recorded that is not attributed to anyone (because they do not have a Joomla user account yet). I would assume this should not happen - it does not make sense to create a conversion when a Joomla user account has not even been created yet.

2. After paying in PayPal, a new Joomla user account is created (this is the expected behavior of Membership Pro - once the payment has been made in PayPal, the user may access the website). The logs attribute the site visit to the proper people (the affiliate and the new member), but NO CONVERSION. This is the point that a conversion should appear (Right? The user has paid, a Joomla user account created...now there should be a conversion, right?). Nothing. Things appear correct within the log, but no conversion.

So - let me try a few different ways that an account can be created.

1. I tried bypassing the actual PayPal payment by purchasing and then approving the account from the backend. Same exact results. A conversion is created before the new user account is created...and once the new account is created (the point where a conversion should happen), nothing happens.

2. I tried using our "pay by check" option. Same results.

I tried enabling both plugins simultaneously - same results.

THEN...I tried renewing. The conversion was recorded exactly as it should...and left "unapproved" because the test user had not paid yet. Once the test user paid and was made "active" from the backend, a DUPLICATE conversion is created, this one being "approved". So - it seems to be working to some extent with a renewal - unfortunately I am not interested in paying commissions on renewals - only on new members.

Please - can anyone help me?

    Hello,

I'm very sorry that we missed your previous post. I just missed it, that's all.. not intentional!
    my apologies for that...

now, yes, it looks like something's wrong in your os membership integration.

I would need to take a look "in site" and do a bit of debugging to find out what's causing the issue.

Can you send me site access to support@ joomlathat.com?

    many thanks

    Yes - no problem, Germinal.

    1. What level of access do you need?
    2. Which components do you need access to?

    Thank you.

    1. I would need joomla admin access. ideally, super user access, but if that can't be, then I need access to Affiliate tracker component and OSmembership, and their config options
and also, ideally, access to plugins area.

    2. I would need also FTP access to be able to do a bit of internal debugging.

    thanks.
