An existing user is not assigned to the correct user group once he registers as an affiliate Issue

Dear support,

If an existing user subscribes as an affiliate using the AT registration form (selecting the "already have an account" option), he is not assigned to the user group that we have set in the Affiliate Tracker component options in the back end.

If a new user registers immediately using the AT registration from, then he is assigned to the correct user group.

Please help.

    Hello,

    this is normal. This user group assignation is ONLY made in the case you use the registration within Affiliate Tracker.

    if the user is ALREADY registered, Affiliate Tracker won't change his group.

    Dear Germinal,

    Ok but if we want to assign that second user group to the user as well i.e. to have two user groups, because now he became an affiliate as well, we do it manually only? Is there any other way to perform this automatically?

    yes, in this case is manually only because the user is already registered.
    to perform automatically definitely requires some custom coding work...
